4th of July

Kids in the annual Corvallis 4th of July parade. Anna sporting her Wonder Woman costume, Cole rocking it on his bike.

 

Friends and fireworks! Anna was a good sport, but she really didn't like the fireworks too much. She kept asking to go inside, but then didn't want to miss out on the action, so she resorted to covering her ears. Good thing she had Peyton there to keep her company.







Cole, on the other hand, was all about the fireworks this year. Love this photo of him with his buddy Justin. Two peas in a pod!

Mondays with Grandma

Both kids are spending Mondays with my mom this summer since Cole doesn't have school. This week they headed to the coast, with a stop at my cousin Nancy's house (farm?) in Eddyville. What a treat! From my mom - "They both had such different ways to approach the ocean....Cole was thrilled to get wet and throw sand into the waves. Anna was cautious and ready to run when the water started to come toward her. But Anna was an Ace at filling the buckets!"

Golf!

 Cole's first round of 9 holes with Grandma and Grandpa.

We're ready for summer!

It was kind of sunny (well, at least not raining) so we decided eating ice cream outside was a great idea. Brrrrr ... sun doesn't equal warm! After 5 minutes the kids were inside digging out their winter hats. Ah, Oregon!

For weeks now (maybe months) Cole has been asking when Grandma can take him golfing. And today his wish came true! My mom and Cole spent 2 hours at the golf course hitting balls and practicing putting. He even got a little bag with some kid-sized clubs, which he continued to play with after he got home. Love the determination on his face in these pics.

Sheep!

Cole and Anna get their animal "fix" at Johnnies. They just got two sheep - Poe and Stella - and the kids love them! I think Anna likes them more from a distance, but Cole loves Pettit them and helping with sheep chores.

Coloring

Cole has been practicing his coloring and is getting so good! Love how determined he is, and how seriously he concentrates.
