Getting into the spirit of Christmas with Grandma and all of her fun musical toys, one of the "signature" holiday traditions.

Feast!
Kindermusik
Anna and my mom started Kindermusik a couple weeks ago with Teacher Sue. She is the youngest in her class (most kids are at least 18 months old or older) but it sounds like she fits right in and is enjoying it so far. Love this little video that my my took, especially since I can't be there to see her experience it in person.

A lazy Saturday
I spent the past couple of days in Las Vegas at a conference, and am so happy to be home, and to have a lazy Saturday to hang out at the house. Cory and Cole headed the OSU vs. UW football game.
Anna and I stayed home and enjoyed some time coloring, playing with Playdoh and listening to her new Kindermusik CD.

Dance party!
Who doesn't love a good dance party? I found this video from a few weeks back and just had to share it. Makes me smile every time I watch it (which is often).

Coast trip
We have a photo from this trip on our fridge, and Cole has been asking recently to go back to the beach. So on Friday, when he had no school, the kids and I packed up to head to the coast. First stop, Nye Beach.
Then to Hatfield Marine Science Center.
This might be one of my favorite photos of Cole ever. In his preschool class, when they were learning shapes, they showed a photo of this bridge as an example of a semi-circle. There are billboards in Corvallis advertising Newport, and they use a photo of this bridge, so whenever Cole sees it he exclaims "semi-circle!". Needless to say, he was super excited to see it in person. We took this photo to show to his teachers.
Last stop of the day, the bayfront for some lunch and to pick up a crab for Cory. We hardly ever go to the coast, but its a fun, quick 1/2 day trip. And the kids had a blast.

Cole turns 4!
Cole is so happy to be four. It's pretty cute, really. A couple great lines from his birthday
"Am I still four?" - he asked this several times throughout the day, as if he was going to turn back to being three.
"When I was three I used to be scared, and now that I'm four I'm not scared anymore!" he exclaimed during a quick break from bouncing at the bounce house with his cousin Alex.
At his preschool open house, his teacher mentioned to me that she has noticed a change in the way he carries himself literally since the day that he turned four.
His birthday was celebrated on two days - on his actual birthday, and then the party with his friends was the Sunday afterwards. On his birthday his preschool class went to the pumpkin patch AND Cole got to bring the snack the line leader. Quite the big deal. Here are a few photos from his school trip to Muddy Creek Maze.
His birthday party was at another pumpkin patch, Davis Family Farm. Some kids wore costumes, they climbed on the hay, went through the corn maze, rode the tractor out to pick pumpkins, and ate delicious freshly made donuts. The weather was beautiful, and Cole had a blast. He even got to drive the tractor, which he thought was pretty cool.

September
September = family time and the start of football season!
Sibling bonding.
First home game. Tailgating with the Rahns.
Loving the sun! (and the Beavers ... even though they lost)
Buddies.
An Anna trait - backing it up to sit on whatever she might find to sit on.
The dress-up bin is a Cole favorite.
Visiting the indoor soccer park.

August
August was full of family, fun, travel, and birthdays!
Badger family reunion in Sunriver was a blast. Lots of delicious meals, swimming, biking, sun, crafts with the grandmas. The best. We even had professional family photos taken, which came out so good.
Life with Anna became a little crazier as she started getting into everything. One of her most favorite activities is emptying my wallet. And sometimes I just let her do it.
Summer activities in downtown Corvallis.
Amazing birthday cake, thanks to my super talented mom.

Yep. The other side of Anna. Peek-a-boo!
A trip to Seattle (solo, no kids or Cory) to visit the Faws and Sarah.
